WEBSTER STREET

Upgrading was the primary goal for this family in Berkeley and their classic craftsman home. We started by repositioning  windows and skylights, to allow for cascading light and an elevated style. A new open kitchen connects seamlessly to the dining area, and a glass paneled doors separates a home office from the family room.  The interconnected spaces allow easy circulation and borrowed  light from adjacent rooms. A new master bathroom suite–including a wet room–imparts a calm spa-in-the-treetops feeling. A new ground floor powder room under the stairs captures previously unused space. The classic architectural trim in the entry was preserved and blends seamlessly with the modern detailing.
